We take the constellation you built
and weave it into one piece of music and one card.
This page explains what that actually means,
and how the process runs.
“Having a song made of me” is a strange sentence. Here is what is behind it.
The things you wrote that you wanted, and the values you chose behind them.
The shape of how those connect became your constellation.
SOURCE CODE is an attempt to translate that blueprint into sound and words. A logo or a portrait carries you visually; a piece of music carries what is inside you, through sound.
So it is not built to a trend, and not built to a genre you pick from a list. It sounds the way it sounds because that is how your constellation sounds. That is usually why people say the finished piece feels oddly familiar, or like it is describing something they had not said out loud.
The finished piece is not only something to listen to. It is woven into a single web page — your card. That page becomes something you can hand to someone as a link or a QR code, so that when you exchange details, your sound and your landscape arrive before your job title does. If you would rather hand over something physical, an NFC card is available as an option.
After the session and the making, these are yours.
A recording that exists only once, made from your values. The lyrics are spun from your constellation too.
What the piece is actually singing about, and where you seem to be heading — written out as a short passage.
The constellation you built, finished so that it can be turned and looked at inside the card page.
Music, lyrics, constellation and introduction on one page. The lyrics move with the music.
A physical card that opens your page when someone holds a phone to it. Made to order for an additional fee — quantity and design are up to you.
The hour spent reading your constellation together is the centre of this, not a preliminary to it. Most people find the words arrive while they are talking.
From first enquiry to finished card, in five steps.
Pick a time from the booking page. If you have already built your constellation, we already hold that data — there is nothing for you to prepare.
We look at your constellation together and talk for about an hour. Why this word and not that one; how long it has been true. Axes you had not consciously noticed tend to find words here. What comes out becomes the raw material for the lyrics.
The lyrics are spun from your constellation and from what you said in the session. We propose a few possible titles and choose one together. This part goes back and forth a few times.
The lyrics are set to music. The texture of the voice and the feel of the piece are decided from where your constellation is weighted. You hear the finished recording and we adjust if it needs it.
Music, lyrics, constellation and introduction are brought together on one page and published. From that moment you can hand it to anyone by link or QR code. If you want the NFC card, it is made at this point (additional fee).
From session to delivery takes about two weeks. It moves with how many rounds the lyrics and title take, so if you are working to a date, tell us when you book.
Probably faster than any more explaining.
See Takayuki Hoda’s card→Play the music and the lyrics move with it. The constellation can be dragged and turned.
The things people usually ask before booking.
Not at all. You do not need to play anything or sing. The only thing asked of you is to talk about yourself. The sound is our part.
Building it first is worth it. It is free and takes 15–20 minutes, and having it changes the density of the session completely. You are welcome to talk to us without one, though.
Yes, freely, within your own work — social posts, background for video, use at events. We explain the detailed terms when you book.
Mostly people who work under their own name — sole traders, freelancers, coaches, counsellors. People who would rather lead with who they are than with what they do.
You see the lyrics, the title and the recording along the way, with a chance to adjust each. Nothing is handed over as a finished surprise. Refunds are not available once making has begun, so raise anything you are unsure about beforehand.
No — it is optional. Your card is published as a web page, so a link or QR code is plenty. The physical card is for people who want to hand something over, at an additional fee. You can also add it later.
Yes. We take on team and organisation work — get in touch and we will suggest an approach based on numbers and what it is for.
Includes the 60-minute reading session, the making of the music, and publishing your card.
This is a launch price and will be revised.
For anyone who wants something physical to hand over, made for an additional fee.
The amount depends on quantity and design — let us know when you book.
